Finished reading room on Monday 11th July 201 (or Sunday, not sure..). It was a really good book. It taught me stuff; It was one of those books that really draw you in and leave you a little confused once you close it and head back into the real world. The way it was written from a five year olds perspective was interesting and funny at times, but also kind of helped you to personally understand the story and the effect on the characters a little more (kids are honest!). Without giving it away, it made me smile, cringe, and want to cry at times. The start was good, the middle was interesting and more intense, which I liked, and the ending was quite a nice, open ending, and seems realistic, so the author (Emma Donoghue) did a pretty good job overall. Recommended for mature, understanding people (I’d say age 15+), who like realistic, emotional, unique but captivating storylines.
